Associate or Senior PlannerWe are looking for a passionate urbanist with 8+ years? experience to join our Riyadh based Planning Team. The successful candidate will have a desire in helping make the cities of the Middle East better places for its people and the environment.Strong technical skills in strategic planning, development or master planning are key requirements.   • Supporting the continued growth of the planning team in Riyadh
  • Close coordination and liaison with other consulting disciplines, such as sustainability and economics
  • Managing the delivery of multidisciplinary projects, with technical inputs from numerous disciplines, including transport, infrastructure, environment, sustainability, as well as external partner inputs
  • Supporting the development of work winning relationships in the region to facilitate future project pipelines, including preparing bid submissions and fee proposals
  • Be active in promoting and communicating current and future offerings of the planning team.
  • Balancing demands and priorities whilst reviewing project deliverables, planning project resources and monitoring job financial performance
  • The line management of junior team members, with responsibility for managing workload, as well as assisting and mentoring staff where suitable.
  • Support the technical management and performance of the planning team with particular emphasis on managing resources and delivery

  • A track record of delivering work in core cities disciplines (planning, urban design, sustainability, economics), and an understanding of the GCC market
  • Experience in successful multidisciplinary project delivery
  • Demonstrable ability to manage junior team members
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills when client-facing or engaging with senior leadership
  • Technical background in architecture, planning, design, sustainability or economics with a demonstrable track record of leading complex city-scale projects
  • Experience in master planning and/or policy projects at a variety of scales
  • A willingness to travel
  • A desire to lead continuous quality improvement in our work
  • Demonstrable project management experience
  • IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Design capabilities in AutoCAD and the full adobe creative suite are desirable.
  • Degree qualification in a relevant architecture, planning, sustainability disciplines
  • A registered member of a relevant professional institution, ideally chartered status.
  • Experience working in the ME essential
  • Arabic language is desirable.
