DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island is looking for a Food & Beverage Departmental Trainer to join the team! As a Food & Beverage Departmental Trainer, you would be responsible for:As a Food & Beverage Departmental Trainer you will assist in daily F&B operations and work with team members to demonstrate your abilities and have them gain knowledge in the hospitality industry. The candidate will work closely with the F&B Management and the L&D Manager. The nature of work will entail supporting the team in both daily operations, project management and strategic aspects of operations and training. As the Trainer for Food, Beverage & Events, you will be responsible for all training for our colleagues both on the job for skills and in classroom training for knowledge. You will be planning and conducting meetings with Managers to track performance trends and prepare action plans and training initiatives, as needed. You will also be working closely with our hotel L&D Manager in ensuring that all training as tracked, and records are maintained accurately. In addition to this, you will be working with the F&B teams, helping them understand their part in us delivering an excellent customer service and working closely with them to motivate them to achieve the desired results. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and facilitating activities between the F&B Managers, Team Members and L&Dincluding meetings schedules, etc.
  • Establishes communication with employees with F&B division to seek opinions and comments on employees training issues
  • Managing Training programs as well as talent management activities including registration, administration and logistical or venue arrangements
  • Observes, conduct daily On-Job-Training (SOP) within F&B division and provides feedback to the respective trainers.
  • Develops new SOPs when needed or when new procedures are implemented. Implement SOP checklist /evaluation tracking system and ensure outlet trainers are completing it correctly.
  • Maintaining training calendar, team productivity reports, updated curriculum versions
  • Creating and Conducting training courses for team members on all relevant subjects
  • Supervising and monitoring progress made via training programmes or schemes
  • Ensuring employees receive statutory required training
  • Communication, facilitating or improve Food Safety practice
  • Supporting associate engagement projects
  • Handling daily administrative tasks related to training
  • Coordinate assigned Projects with partner departments

Qualifications / Education:
  • Currently a Team Leader or Supervisor in F&B Service with proven track record of training team members
  • Graduate of Business or Hospitality
  • Previous hospitality internships and experiences in Operating including F&B Service
