Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is seeking aSystems Administratorbased out of Bahrain. The qualified candidate will be a part of a small, agileteam thatprovides on-site FSETsupport.Embedded Supportpersonnel are considered mission essential and deployable on any Regional Combat Commands exercises or operations. TheTeam provides on-siteC2 Family of System technical support at the RCC garrison and deployed locations where theC2System is fielded.Teams located at these sites shall support not only those specific geographical locations, but also all deployment sites within the RCC?s Area of Responsibility (AOR) and other RCC as needed.This particular position is 75%-80% aboard an expeditionary Navy vessel, both in-port and at sea.Job Responsibilities:

  • Installation of new hardware or software
  • Creating and managing user accounts
  • Maintaining computer systems such as servers and databases
  • Planning and properly responding to system outages and various other problems
  • May include light programming or scripting to make the system workflows easier training computer users and assistants.
Requirement for Operation and Maintenance support is typically 5 days a week for eachC4I FoS fielded system. Work hours in excess of 40 hours per week per person may be requiredduring contingency operations (deployments or exercises), an alternate work schedule may be required to support 24/7 operations.Typical core hours are0800 to 1700.QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:Bachelors and 2 years experience. (4 years experience accepted in lieu of degree)Required Skills:
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Experiencein a Systems Administrator role
  • Security+ certification
Required Clearance:Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. A minimum of an Interim Secret clearance will be required prior to first day of employment.Required Travel:Travel required up to 75-80%of the time.COVID Policy: Prospective and/or new employees are required to adhere with SAICs vaccination policy.
