Job Description

Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldProgram Protection DEI-RPAE is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Level III Engineer; execute extensive engineering / scientific support on systems, system elements, interfacing systems, components, devices and / or processes for complex developmental and operational weapon system programs. The Engineer will be responsible for implementing the system engineering V processes across a programs acquisition life cycle. The successful candidate will have, and be able to apply, excellent oral and written communication skills. Functional/Task areas covered under this requisition include: Acquisition Program Protection.This position is in support of the Missile Defense Agency located at Redstone Arsenal Huntsville, ALBasic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of seven years experience working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs / projects
  • Bachelors degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field
  • Works independently and / or leads sub-teams, applying engineering rigor to analyze and resolve problems 
  • Must be able to provide daily supervision and direction to support teams
Clearance Requirement:
  • Secret to TS with SCI eligibility
Special Qualifications: In addition to the basic qualifications listed above, the following specific qualifications are required by Task/Function area:Acquisition Program Protection
  • Included within the minimum seven years experience listed above, the applicant must have:
  • Systems Security Engineering (SSE) experience in DoD programs
  • Over 5 years experience coordinating policy/technical issues with outside agencies/OSD level coordination
  • Experience with controlling highly competitive information via secure techniques
  • Clearance Requirement: Secret with Top Secret eligibility
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Office Specialist Expert certification
  • Current Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)
