The successful candidates will primarily teach lower division courses ranging among college algebra, precalculus and trigonometry, calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra. An ideal candidate will have experience coordinating multi-section courses, teaching in both large and small lectures, and will also have some experience in computer programming languages ( MATLAB in particular), and learning management systems (such as Blackboard), and have some experience teaching online classes and working in a mathematics tutoring center or similar environment. Candidates must possess a Masters degree in mathematics or a closely related field with at least 18 credit hours of graduate level mathematics.Ad Text:The Mathematics Department at The University of Alabama invites applications for two renewable full-time instructor positions. The appointment will begin on August 16, 2022 and is a two-year term with the possibility of renewal based on funding, availability, and performance.
