Job Description

Role SummaryResponsible to prepare standardized work for existing and future products and help drive continuous improvement projects to support the business / platforms needs.Accountable for teaching/coaching Lean enterprise methods and integrating with the business to form and execute business improvement plans that deliver tangible benefits to business performance.Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct time, motion, and process studies using activity analysis, snapshot analysis, work allocation diagrams, and other lean tools and methods
  2. Facilitates CI actions and employee involvement in kaizen teams throughout the site and across all functional areas, in the pursuit of sustained beneficial change.
  3. Develop manufacturing tools, systems, and processes designed to minimize waste, improve quality, and enhance throughput
  4. Facilitates improvement implementation through employee teams, CI events, team improvement projects, Plant HK (Hoshin Kanri) strategic projects, FLSQuest projects, LEAN Enterprise training workshops.
  5. Participate in and coordinate problem solving activities at the plant floor level. Support as necessary in-plant layouts, process changes, and implementation plans to resolve ergonomic issues.
  6. Co-creates, sustains, revises and measures progress on the Business Area CI Plan that contributes to the future state.
  7. Focuses teams on CI, by involving people in meeting productivity and site / platform objectives.
  8. In unison with the Plant Manager and Plant Controller, ensure that benefits related to CI initiatives are calculated according to corporate standards, are realistic and obtainable, and are ultimately achieved within the targeted timespan.
  9. Assures that planned improvements are documented both locally and in the enterprise FLSQuest system for sharing. Assures that predicted savings are tracked, validated, and posted to the facility?s operating results.
  10. Recommend changes to workstations, labor, and layouts to reduce waste and improve workflow. Support Shop Floor Kaizens and Workshops.
