Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:The Senior Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing and testing the softwaresolutions according to specifications, ensuring delivery of the product on time while producingsustainable, reusable and well documented quality code, following the full software developmentlifecycle.MAIN DUTIES:? Execute and monitor the full software development lifecycle.? Develop technical design specifications and code accordingly.? Contribute to peer code reviews.? Ensure best technical practices and coding standards are applied, maintaining high standardsof software quality.? Provide mentoring and technical guidance to other developers.? Assist management in feasibility analysis on potential future projects.? Ensure an appropriate level of documentation is maintained as required, to facilitate thedevelopment, delivery and traceability of the project.? Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical groups.? Contribute to continuous process improvement.? Keep abreast with latest technology related to the industry.? Participate in explaining and presenting system design, functional requirements anddocumentation to technical and non-technical users.? Develop the required applications and/or solutions as per provided specifications, guarantyingsystem extensibility, robustness and scalability.? Test and debug the implemented functionalities and provide fixing and correction for thereported bugs and issues.? Deliver the necessary as built technical documentations for the developed software in order tofacilitate any eventual maintenance and/or upgrade.? Provide training to the users and the technical support staff on the implemented system.? Solve complex technical problems in collaborative environment, providing guidance to othersas appropriate.? Proactively propose new technologies and/or practices? Understand client requirements, analyze and implement new enhancement and fix bugs.? Write documentations such as: user guides, technical documentation and design documents.
