Looking for Womenwear Designer for a company in Oman.PRE-REQUISITES? Qualification: Degree in Fashion Designing? Experience: Min 3+ years? experience in Fashion Designing? Gender: Female/ Male? Languages: English (mandatory), Arabic (preferred)EXPECTED COMPETENCIES? Creative? Knowledge of womenswear fashion and latest trends? Visualization skills? Creating sketching skills? Knowledge of fabric types, texture and trims? Sewing/ Stitching knowledge? Auto CAD & other software skills? Work on deadlines? Detail oriented? Communication skills JOB DESCRIPTION1. Research? Travel and visit fashion shows, exhibitions, workshops, etc? Brainstorm on a design concept with the design team? Conduct market research to understand fashion trends, customers, lifestyles, etc? Understand Kayfi TG demand & behavior trends before designing any concept? Research and find fabrics and develop fabric archive suitable for our upcoming collection 2. Designing? Work closely with Design Manager and be aligned to achieve the goals defined by management for design department? Design theme and styles for womens-wear? Make sketches by hand or on computer (CAD) for womenswear? Create mood boards, color palettes as per the design concept? Define the fabric, embellishment, accessories and trims for the design? Create tech pack for the designs finalized3. Product Development? Make pattern CAD drawings? Discuss design concept and tech pack with Pattern Master in case of any doubts, clarification required? Work closely with Pattern Master, Tailors during product development and assist them wherever required? Ensure the sampling and final garment are created as per the design and given instructions? Assist and take active participation during fittings and proto sample review. Make amendments in design and tech pack accordingly, if needed4. Cross-Functional Activities? Work with Merchandiser & Buyer in the selection of fabrics, accessories, trims, etc? Analyze the photographs of finished products and give feedback, if any, to ensure the design has been highlighted
