Job Description

We are recruiting for a Well Interventions Well Site Leader (HWO / Snubbing) to work for an E&P Companyin Oman.Purpose of the role: Well Site Leader that will support COMPANY Interventions Team with the implementation of the Velocity String Technology. The Snubbing well site leader is accountable for organising and control the snubbing service line work at the well site. This advanced level position is responsible for handling a complex, hazardous, and high profile jobs, while providing quality service and ensuring full satisfaction with the work performed. The trial jobs will comprise the installation of velocity strings in three gas wells by means of a Snubbing / HWO-unit. The trials have already been sanctioned and preparations are on-going.The successful candidate will:

  • Support the engineering team with the writing of work instructions / programs, as well as all with engineering and planning work scopes as applicable.
  • Participate in all safety-related meetings / conversations.
  • Lead the commissioning of the snubbing unit in-field
  • Lead the pre-job and post-job inspections and testing of the snubbing units and ensuring that all pre and post job inspection forms are completed. Ensures that the maintenance and general upkeep of the snubbing units and related equipment are well handled.
  • Lead the operational phase of the Velocity String Technology Trials in-field.
  • Participate in after action review and campaign close-out activities.
  • Coach other well site leaders and share the knowledge of snubbing/ HWO.
Requirements:
  • An engineering Bachelor?s degree preferable.
  • Can demonstrate experience in preparing clear and detailed programmes and reports related to interventions and stimulation.
  • Can demonstrate some knowledge in Process Safety (HAZOP, HAZID)
  • Can demonstrate some knowledge of conventional interventions equipment such as Coiled Tubing, Electric-Line Slick-Line.
  • Can demonstrate sound decision-making skills.
  • Can demonstrate strong technical, operations organisational and planning ability.
  • Has previous experience working in a multi-cultural environment and shows willingness and ability to coach more junior staff whose native language is not English.
  • Is self-motivated, with strong communication, interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ability to work with Excel or other spreadsheet programmes. Prefers to have knowledge of using new advanced Programs like Power BI.
Remarks:
  • 6 monthscontract (with option to extend)
  • The position is field-based, however with a period of preparation / planning office-work prior to field implementation.
