VAC00061-Senior Analyst & Architect - DWH & AnalyticsIT & Information Systems ManagementplaceMuscat, OmanShort descriptionInternalOoredoo Oman Family MemberAs the Senior Analyst & Architect - DWH & Analytics you will be responsible for analysing DWH requirements and producing solutions and design of DWH platform (Teradata, Informatica & MicroStrategy). S/He has to ensure that solutions are aligned with DWH best practices.Core ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible of the Following: * Ensure detailed analysis of business requirements to ensure the most appropriate technical design approach for supporting those requirements* Design, create and tune logical database objects (tables, views, indexes) to support normalized, de-normalized and dimensional models, ensuring a high performance DWH solution, which provides quick access to data and timely availability of reports to end-users* Producing High Level Design documents by specifying the solution approach* Review technical design documents created by other team member / vendor resources to ensure consistency in design principles, and compliance with the DWH design standards* Provide support to operations to resolve DWH issues and recommend long-term preventive actions and solutions* Follow-up on on-going projects* Review project plans* Quality assure plans and produced documents* Provide daily/weekly reports to the section head, with regards to ongoing tasks and projects* Ensure timely delivery of all projects through effective team work* Understanding of Data Warehouse concepts, tools and repositories and transfer the knowledge to any team member if requested by management and teamThe PersonYou should have a minimum of 6 years of experience in a Teradata, Informatica & MicroStrategy systems, expert in Teradata cLDM 15 and above data model and how to design data flows to ingest data in this model, expert in data modelling, data ingestion and ETL using Informatica, expert in Teradata performance optimization using Teradata optimization best practices and standards, thorough understanding of relational database management systems and SQL. Preferred 6+ years of experience in working with databases and SQL, working knowledge of Unix/Windows operating systems and Shell / Unix scripts, must have excellent skills in requirements analysis, data assessment, business process reengineering, and fully familiarity with data warehousing design concepts such as 3rd Normal Form and Dimensional modelling, MS Office proficiency specially with Excel and PowerPoint, Fluent in written and spoken English with a Bachelor degree in computer science or information systemsSkilla Required* Business Requirements Analysis* Data Profiling and Analysis using Teradata, Informatica Profiling and MS Excel* SQL Scripting* Teradata scripting standards and best practices* Infomratica PowerCenter and Data Quality* MicroStrategy Latest version (v11 and above)* Problem Solving* Critical Thinking* Communicating Effectively* Results Oriented* Detail conscious and Analytical Thinking* Teamwork* Customer focusAdditional InformationFor allinternal Ooredoo Oman applicantsthat wish to apply to this vacancy; you are required to discuss with your line manager first before applying.
