An increase in air traffic growth has led to crucial need for modernisation of Oman?s transport infrastructure, Thales is providing security solutions for Oman?s largest infrastructure project, Muscat International Airport and for Salalah Airport in Oman?s second largest city.JOB OBJECTIVESupport Engineer for the Government Platform & Services Delivery team.Ensure internal and external customers? satisfaction by assisting customers in the operation and maintenance of Thales NRS and ePassport solution in order to provide and sustain operational excellence.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible to Respond, Investigate & Resolve ROP incidents in accordance with contractual SLA. Follow-up and update incident management tools on regular basis and ensure best efforts to resolve issues and achieve Contractual obligations.
• Responsible to ensure new site(s) deployments done as per site deployment plan, including all supporting documentation and checklists Support in Preparation of all Hardware and workstations Support in monitoring sites after deployment to ensure optimal performance.
• Responsible to attend in-person/onsite meetings with customer to analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose incidents.
• Responsible to Install and configure HW computer systems and SW applications within the client?s network.
• Responsible to execute Preventive Maintenance visits for all ROP production sites in accordance with contractual SLA and PM visit plan.
• Required to travel to different production sites across Oman as per the business requirements.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 3 years of work experience is desirable.
• IT Hardware configuration, implementation and troubleshooting
• Proficient in technical investigations, analysis of all types of IT HW, Card Printer and related devices.
• Knowledge of Java Smart Card is desirable
• Good skills of troubleshooting client and server applications
• Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating system trouble shooting, configuration and installation
• Windows Active Directory and group policies of network is a plus
• Knowledge over distributed architecture or distributed Deployment tool is a plus
• Good skills of testing the client applications according to SOP, and identify any issues before rolling out in production environment.
• Good skills in preparing documentation of applications, admin guides, user guides and troubleshooting guides to assist Client?s L1 support team.

QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a Degree in IT, Computer Science or Computer related discipline
• Must be fluent in English
