Be responsible for compliance with legislation relating to the Harbour as a statutory and competent harbour authority.
Ensure hydrographic surveys of the bar, the approach channel, the turning basin and enclosed dock are conducted at regular intervals.
Ensure maintenance dredging is undertaken as required to maintain the advertised depth at the bar, the approach channel, the turning basin and enclosed dock
Ensure monitoring of Safe Working Procedures is carried out at regular intervals.Ensure a high standard of housekeeping of all floating plant and harbour areas.
Ensure all maintenance and inspections of the Port?s floating plant, equipment and harbour infrastructure is carried out in accordance with established procedures.
Carry out the duties of Deputy Port Security Officer as and when required
Carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required by the Port Manager.
