Monitor civil activities and ensure adequate Contractor resources are allocated. ? Work closely with the Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the implementation of the Project QA/QC Plan. ? Implement the Company Quality Assurance Plans through the checking, witnessing, and recording of the quality activities as described within the Plans. ? Ensure that all construction activities are suitably documented. ? Monitor as-built drawing preparation by the contractors to ensure that these are accurate and produced on time. ? Report progress on the activities, versus the contractors programs, and advise of any potential slippages. ? Review and comment on the contractors planning related to Civil activities. ? Supervise and approve construction activities and co-ordinate various aspects of project construction including inspections, material submissions and working drawings from contractors, and processing documentation as required. ? Carryout daily checks on contractor?s staff and work carried out during the previous day in order to ensure compliance with the project schedule. ? Handle all aspects of Civil Construction activities. ? Maintain a daily record of progress (daily diary) noting special Reports to supervisor work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actions. ? Ensures that the project construction work is carried out as per the assigned schedule and resolves all the construction problems on the spot, so as to improve the productivity. ? Prepare Punch list for finished work prior to hand over to end user. ? Accountable for supervising contractor?s work that is in progress, inspecting work, reporting problems, and preventing accidents occurring as a result of negligence, by enforcing CCED safety standards on the work ? Liaise and report with the QC Inspector on quality related matters. ? Liaise with the HSE Supervisor on safety related matters.
