  • Ensures delivery of materials and equipment at agreed delivery dates at site, port of shipment etc. in accordance with Worley? obligations.
  • Expedites from the home office as well as by visits to Vendors as required.
  • Checks all progress and inspection reports on any information regarding delivery dates, shortages, damages, etc.
  • Performs, on time and with the required quality, the handling and reporting of the status of technical Vendor documents for Project.
The Expeditor is the focal point of contact for post award activities between the Vendor and the Project. The Expeditor applies a proactive approach to Vendor engagement, positively employing forward look ahead approaches to mitigate delays to materials ? ensuring timely delivery of materials at all times.The Expeditor shall have work assigned bythe Procurement Manager.Key Areas of Work:The Expeditor will be responsible for the following duties;
  • Adheres to Project?s procurement ethics, policies and procedures.
  • Reviews and complies with the Procurement Execution Plan.
  • Ensures familiarity with the required project QA/QC documentation for material deliveries.
  • Reviews the delivery schedules of their assigned PO?s with the Project Buyer/Procurement Manager.
  • Involves the Project Buyer/Procurement Manager in major trouble cases with Vendors.
  • Performs miscellaneous activities on request of the Procurement Manager
  • Expedites all purchase orders of projects assigned to him/her.
  • Adheres to the expediting work process, which also includes the involvement of specialist engineers of various disciplines.
  • Reviews with the Project Buyer/Procurement Manager the Vendor?s progress with regard to the performance as required per purchase order and the expected delivery date
  • Keeps the Project Engineer and the Construction Manager at site informed of realistic shipment and delivery dates via ROS Report.
  • Responds to Internal and External correspondence and ensures prompt filing of the same, in accordance with the Procurement Execution Plan.
  • Checks materials for:
  1. The required quantities
  2. The timely delivery
  3. Packing, marking, shipping and preservation as required per purchase order
  4. The required shipping documents, such as packing lists, invoices, certificates of origin, etc.
Vendor Data
  • Ensures that all drawings as requested in the technical documentation sheet of a requisition are produced by Vendor, with the required quality and in time.
  • Ensures that Vendor documents, issued for comments/acceptance, are returned in time to the Vendors with relevant comments.
  • Controls the status of Vendor documents by issued reports from DCC.
  • Expedites, if required, Vendors to produce requested documents.
  • Performs, as member of the Procurement Department, all activities as directed by the Procurement Department Manager and/or the ProcumentManager
Key responsibilities:
  • Expediting from the home office as well as by visits to Vendors all materials for a project assigned to him / her by the Procurement Manager
  • Reporting to all key stakeholders via the Material Status Report or ROS Report.
  • Adherence to the Expediting procedures (as part of the Procurement Execution Plan) and Project procedures.
  • The quality of his / her work.
  • The timely execution of the assigned activities.
Authority:Has the authority to:
  • Sign all routine minutes, KOM minutes and other documents related to expediting and shipping matters.
  • Discuss schedule, sub order status, manufacturing progress etc. with the Vendors.
Functional Support:To perform the principal duties, the most frequently required contacts are with:
  • Procurement Manager
  • Project Buyers/Procurement Coordinators

  • Cost and Planning Engineers
  • Forwarding Agents, Transportation Contractors
  • Vendors? representatives

Qualification RequiredDegree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management with Minimum of 4 years experience working in Energy IndustryONLY OMANI NATIONALS TO BE CONSIDER
