Construction Manager?The main responsibilities include providing planning, leadership, direction and technical expertise in managing the timely procurement of materials, equipment / plant and labour resources, delivery to site and construction of the sub contract work packages, mainly ?comprising of Building Structures, Tank foundations and minor Pipe Lines for the EPC 1, EPC2 and EPC 3 work packages of the Refinery project. .?RequirementsQualified Civil Engineer ?Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a Construction Management (Civil Works) ?within an Oil and Gas environment for a construction contractorConstruction management background and capable of reviewing existing contractor operations and managing timely delivery;at least ?5 -10 years work experience within the Middle EastExcellent communication skills in written and spoken EnglishAbility to liaise with a wide variety of staff and Clients at all levelsComputer literate in the essential MS software, i.e. Word, ExcelBe able to demonstrate Leadership skills, also be able to mobilise people and teams and drive for a successful delivery.Possess advanced team building skillsGood negotiatorCommercially awareArabic speaker with Arabic reading skills would be highly advantageous?ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the Project Manager, you shall Monitor progress of the construction for compliance with scheduleManage and motivate contractor?s construction teamReview of existing contractor operations, assessing both the strengths and weaknesses, implement changes and drive contractor workforce to deliver.Participate in weekly/ monthly progress, procurement and commercial? meetings.Report to the Project and Planning Mangers on the progress and quality of the project(s) and obtain authority from the Project Manager for any decisions / instructions required to ensure timely delivery.Monitoring all work executed, at all stages, to ensure that an accurate and professional service is offeredProfessional interface with other disciplines and clients? representativeEnsure that the construction teams are adequately resourcedEnsure that contractual deliverables are produced and issued on time and in compliance with the clients requirementsEnsure adherence to the procedures for material, labour and plant / equipment procurement and timely placed and deliveredCreate a positive and proactive approach that drives the site teamConduct team meetings and direct actions
