Local sites of interest include the Grand Mosque, Opera House and Amouage Perfume Factory.The barista is responsible for engaging with customers in an enthusiastic, charming and professional sales-oriented manner to both internal and external guests.To acknowledge and serve customers promptly by opening conversation, taking correct order, preparing and delivering the order promptly and settling of bills under the general guidance and direction of the Restaurant Manager, or his/her delegate and within the limits of the established Intercontinental Hotels Group policies and procedures.To be the main direct guest contact sales person and offer prompt and knowledgeable service.Prepare and serve high quality coffee and other cafe beverages, efficiently and consistently.To identify and anticipate guest needs by ensuring complete guest satisfaction.Serve customers according to the set standards, by taking their orders, posting the bills, collecting & serving the order, and bill accordingly.Present bills to guests and ensures settlement of the same.Promote all menu items and promotions.Ensure all opening and closing duties are followed according to the checklist. Responsible for all service preparation, e.g. polishing of glasses, cutlery and wiping tables.Responsible for clearing and arranging the stations.Ensure that all menu items are sold at the correct selling price hence ensuring that the planned profitability is secured.Ensure that all billings are correct.Should have at least 1 year experience in hospitality industry in 4-5 star hotel.Should have previous experience in cafes, or as a barista.Should be fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing). Arabic is an advantage. Good knowledge about micros operating system.Good skills in customer service and communication.
