The ideal candidate for this Aquatics Coordinator role possesses exceptional learning and leadership skills in the the area of aquatics including: experience across a variety of age groups - ideally from Kindergarten through 12th Grade a wealth of aquatics experience in teaching swimming skills and safety, including lifeguard training a demonstrated collaborative team approach in working with colleagues skilled at organizing events and providing opportunities for students to participate in international interscholastic competitions teaching experience in standards-based education a proven ability to create learning experiences adapted to the capabilities of diverse learners, respecting a variety of developmental levelsThe Aquatics Coordinator is assisted by a full-time Swimming Assistant.Must Have A valid, North American-recognized B.Sc. or B.Ed. Swim Coaching experience Experience teaching swimming and water safety Red Cross CPR and Lifeguard Instructor certification Teaching experience at the Elementary, Middle, or High School level Experience in both facilitation and participation in collaborative professional development experiencesNice to Have Aquatics Coordinator / Director experience Teaching experience in an American international school Water Safety Instructor certification Experience with adult teaching and professional development planning Competitive swimming experience Solid understanding and experience providing standards-based learning experiences for student
