Senior Development Manager - HSGBULocation: Casablanca, MoroccoShort Description:Looking for experienced professional to help manage a global team developing an exciting Cloud Native Enterprise Application for the Life Sciences Industry.  ----------- As a member of the Health Sciences Global Business Unit (HSGBU) development organization at Oracle, you will help build a global enterprise Clinical Trials Management platform. In this role, you are expected to build, guide and nurture a new product development team and manage a team of talented developers. You will be responsible to help plan and deliver a high-quality product in a timely manner. We are looking for an experienced software development leader who is a strong team player, who can work across multiple functions, interact with different stake holders and cross functional teams. Job Requirements: 

  • At least 10 years of professional experience  
  • At least 3 years as a manager of individual contributors and high-performance teams
  • Experience delivering large, multi-year projects on time
  • Deep understanding of software engineering best practices and development processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. 
  • Experience with project planning, estimation and agile software development processes
  • Experience hiring, mentoring and grooming engineers
  • Flexible to work with teams in various time-zones
  • Bachelors degree in software engineering or equivalent technical experience
Other ideal skills include:
  • Hands-on and competent in coding, and trouble shooting 
  • Experience developing/testing web applications using Java and major Database technologies
  • Experience working on Cloud based solutions 
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of Web Services, design patterns and best practices
  • Experience with cloud services delivery a plus
  • Experience delivering micro-services a plus
Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture. Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.As part of Oracles employment process candidates will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment screening process.
