Senior Software Developer, Standards Strategy & Architecture GroupSummary:Senior Software Developerrole, broad technology exposure and expertise, Morocco development centerDepartment Description:Standards Strategy & Architecture (SSA) is a small group within the Corporate Architecture Group (CAG) that focuses on coordinating Company participation in technical Standards Setting Organizations (SSOs) across all business units and geographies, defines policies pertaining to external standards setting activities, assists business units in engaging in SSOs (including both formal standards bodies and consortia), assists the company with standards compliance issues, and represents Oracle interests on standards related matters to US and other governments.Brief Posting Description:To ensure that Oracle is successful in providing an infrastructure to manage both the Java Community Process (JCP) and our own internal coordination and communication, we are seeking a Senior Software Developer to work with the Senior Director, Standards Strategy and Architecture and the JCP Program Office to develop and manage plans to perform various technology transitions, integrations, and feature implementations for the JCP website services and internal SSA infrastructure.Desired Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area
  • 7+ years software development experience in a wide range of technologies
  • Excellent communication (written and spoken) working in a geo-diverse environment
Required Skills:
  • Full stack development capabilities from the operating system to modern cloud-based applications
  • Able to implement deeply technical solutions, while providing insight at a cloud architecture level
  • Experience managing multiple projects that span multiple organizations
  • Strong Java, Javascript, HTML/CSS, SQL, PL/SQL, Linux shell scripting skills
  • Oracle DB, WebLogic 14, LDAP, DocuSign, Mailman, Jenkins, Linux knowledge all will be critical; expertise in all is not required but must be able to get up to speed quickly
  • Experience with and strong understanding of secure coding methods and processes, open source development processes
Projects in the next year will include:
  • Implementing email-integrated workflow process for approvals
  • Redesign database environment to allow for multiple active web servers
  • Implement content management system and dynamic content generation
  • Implement report generation
  • Outreach across the company to develop internal data-gathering capability
  • Manage and improve open source outreach system that collects data from open source repositories
  • Implement new UI for JCP website
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.As part of Oracles employment process candidates will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment screening process.
