Serving customers in over 100 countries, our research scientists and engineers continue to invent and accelerate new technologies that will increasingly transform the way people and things communicate and connect.The Network Planning and Optimization Service Business Manager will be required to manage the delivery of medium to large sized network planning and optimization projects according to the agreed scope of work (SoW), within budget and schedule for different Orange affiliates in West and Central Africa. He will interface with Orange MEA Regional Expertise Center in order to secure Nokia portfolio presence in the different affiliates. The NPO SBM will be assigned to major and must win projects, program, in order to lead the ramp-up of the NPO organization.The NPO SBM will work with the customers, on-site, and manages their expectations during the projects. Leads and coaches network planning and optimization project managers to achieve the delivery goals for the Optimization projects. Ensure fulfilment of contractual targets and customer expectations within Cost baseline and ensure appropriate claim management and quality standards for delivering the NPO services in scope. Will focus on developing saving measures to protect or improve the projects margin and deliver as per Annual Plan and LE.We are seeking a person that is able to drive the team and engaging with local CxO Customers on the NPO Services & New Technologies portfolio.Job Responsibilities & Competencies

  • Manages customer program (collection of projects managed together for business benefits) or project for a defined service unit scope for a large and complex customer contract with high risk probability
  • Delivers the operational and project multiple BG / BU scope to the customer
  • Determines delivery approach alternatives and manages the selection of the final recommended approach to delivery
  • Ensures hand over from Sell to Execute
  • Manages the customer relationship during delivery and serves as the primary interface towards the customer in all activities-related to the own scope of the contract, including customer complaints, corrective actions, and changing requirements.
  • Actively applies appropriate best practices and lessons learned throughout the life of the project.
  • Leads project team and is accountable for successful delivery of network design, planning and optimization activities for mobile telecommunications networks
  • Establishes the project team organization and defines all responsibilities & scopes of work (SoW), management of the staff
  • Manages the Project management process according the defined time, cost, quality, scope defined by Nokia
  • Supervises milestone status reporting towards internal management and customer
  • Continuous identification, evaluations and tracking of risks (performances and project delivery timelines)
  • Build a strong customer relationship with corresponding customer interface
  • Manages corresponding customer interface for scope, change management and acceptance issues
  • Supports Executive level discussions or escalations in this domain
  • Plans and communicates accurate demand figures for demand planning process
  • Manages communications with internal Nokia Customer Delivery Manager (CDM), Project Management team and corresponding Network Planning and Optimization resource pool manager
  • Create and push NPO Services & New Technologies opportunities based on understanding of market dynamics, customer requirements and portfolio capabilities and innovation
  • Drives and governs a performance culture establishing clear and unambiguous principles for managing performance. Establishing and prioritizing critical performance measures for all personnel while making sure all staff are held accountable for assigned results
  • Interprets critical internal or external business issues and develops innovative solutions that help to sustain competitive advantage
  • Solves highly complex or novel problems based on sophisticated analytical thought and complex judgment
  • Acts as a senior subject matter expert on Orange mode of delivery, at a regional level, act as the most senior internal expert who serves as best practice for Orange MU and is an acknowledged authority both within and outside own organizational unit
  • Leads functional teams or projects with considerable resource requirements, risk, and complexity, handles day-to-day staff management issues
  • Develops network architecture design, capacity planning, network interface design, and overall engineering support
  • Consults and optimizes customer network with medium to high complexity based on traffic utilization, patterns and defined assumptions to achieve the required KPIs
  • Develops strategies to improve the network and service KPIs
Qualifications
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience from the telecom industry. Bachelor or master?s degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Experience in delivering complex Service solutions
  • Strong business / financial awareness
  • Experience in consulting selling / Business development skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Challenger mindset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills required
  • Experience in Services offering, including value proposition, pricing practices and terms and conditions negotiation
  • Knowledge of planning and measurement tools
  • Deep UMTS/GSM/LTE network planning and optimization processes knowledge and experience in the context of Orange MU operations
  • At least 5years in working in Orange MEA different affiliates
  • A proven experience in the field of Project Management with proven track record of business development and securing large upsell
