Job Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Purchasing Officer to join our team in Mohandessin, Cairo.The Purchasing Officer will be responsible for managing all aspects of the purchasing process, from sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products and services
  2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements
  3. Prepare and issue requests for quotations (RFQs) and requests for proposals (RFPs)
  4. Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate contracts and pricing terms
  5. Ensure timely delivery of goods and services by monitoring supplier performance and resolving any issues or delays
  6. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information
  7. Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials and supplies as needed
  8. Coordinate with accounts payable to ensure timely payment of invoices
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions
  10. Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement
  2. Bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
  3. Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software
  7. Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends
  8. Attention to detail and accuracy
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  10. Fluency in English and Arabic
