Background:In the framework of the project ?EMPOWER-Jordan: Enabling and Mobilizing Civil Society Organizations in Jordan through Reinforced Institutional, Advocacy, and Technical Capacities to Enhance Coordination for Sustainable Development?,, ACTED aims to strengthen the technical and institutional capacities of civil society organizations to scale up collective action and advocacy for inclusive sustainable development.Under the supervision of the livelihood Projects Coordinator, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of an assessment of the capacity of CBOs operating in the host communities in Jordan as well as implementing their organizational development and capacity-building plan.The Project Manager is responsible for the management of all activities related to CBOs capacity building and organizational development.The Project Manager (PM) will operate under the operation of the Livelihood Projects Coordinator (PC). He/she will contribute to the development and ensure the implementation of the project ?EMPOWER-Jordan: Enabling and Mobilizing Civil Society Organizations in Jordan through Reinforced Institutional, Advocacy, and Technical Capacities to Enhance Coordination for Sustainable Development?, in the target governorates North and Central Jordan.Objectives:1.˙˙˙˙˙˙Plan, implement, and report monthly the CSOs experience sharing meeting; Maintain Project records and data.˙Closely work with implementation partner to ensure their participation and coordination toward the implementation of the project.2.˙˙˙˙Take the lead on Assessing the CSOs and develop an action plan in coordination with the line manager.3.˙˙˙˙˙Responsible for Prepare and submit the project activity report to the line manager.4.˙˙˙˙˙˙Participate to internal coordination and program meetings to present project progress and plans.4.˙˙˙˙˙Ensure that the assessment is conducted following high-quality standards.5.˙˙˙˙Using ACTED Grassroots Organizational Capacity Assessment (GOCA) tool collect and analyze data regarding CBOs capacities in terms of organizational and financial management, leadership and participation, project cycle management and external relations.6.˙˙Develop a capacity-building action plan based on GOCA results to ensure that CBOs improve their organization and technical knowledge.7.˙˙Take the lead on identifying CSOs capacity building needs through assessment activities.8.˙Contribute to conducting a comprehensive assessment highlighting wider trends in the opportunities and challenges facing CSOs at the national and grassroots levels.9.˙˙Take the lead on outreach and identification of target CSOs at the grassroots), mid, and national levels in line with ACTED?s Global 3Zero Strategy.10.˙Oversee the capacity training manuals according to the findings of the GOCA assessment of Grassroots CSOs.11.˙˙˙Take the lead on fostering the Collaboration and dialogue between CSOs, union representatives, government partners, and key private sector actors to advance reform on specific policy issues.12.˙˙˙˙Follow up and report on the project implementation ..13.˙˙˙˙˙Provide necessary coaching and mentoring during the capacity-building plan of Co-applicants and CSOs.Duties and Responsibilities:1.˙˙˙˙˙˙Programming1.1˙˙Project Planning
