Job Description

Under the supervision of the Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Project Manager represented by field team leader, the Project assistant will contribute to the development and ensure the implementation of the project funded by BPRM, ?Support Economic Growth and Sustainable, Diversified Income Creation in Jordan?, in host community, The Project assistant will be primary responsible for trainings and monitoring of the implementation of business plans by individual beneficiariesThe Project assistant is also responsible for collecting data on potential individuals knowledge and skills as well as for raising awareness on the importance of agriculture, entrepreneurship and microbusiness in order to ensure food security at the individual and community levels.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-Collecting data on potential individuals knowledge and skills-Supporting the business development Specialist in orientation on the importance of agribusiness, entrepreneurship and microbusiness in order to ensure food security at the individual and community levels.-Supporting the hydroponic specialist and agriculture engineer in in orientation on the importance of agriculture and adapting climate smart agriculture techniques in order to ensure food security at the individual and community levels.-Supporting the marketing officer in linking the individual beneficiaries to the suitable markets, and improving beneficiaries marketing skills.-Explaining the selection criteria to the beneficiaries, facilitating community participation in the targeting process and sharing feedback with the project team.-Together with the business development team, supporting the beneficiaries in identifying a feasible business idea in the agricultural sector.-Collaborating and providing information for monthly, quarterly and end of the project reporting to the donor.-Ensure that Project?s communications materials (e.g. banners) are visible and present in all events, trainings, ceremonies, etc.-Keep an up to date record of major events in the governorate and report on them when necessary.-Support office maintenance and logistics when necessary.-Participate and engage in any project?s trainings and meetings as requested by supervisor.-Ensure cross-program integration, learning, sharing and adoption of best practices from other DRC activities and teams.Ensure effective integration and mainstreaming of gender into all programs Any other tasks assigned by supervisor.
