Job Description

(AME monitor)has the responsibility to adhere to the PSEAH Policy (Protection against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment). The(AME monitor)has the obligation to complete all mandatory trainings related to the Code of Conduct and the PSEA policy and report any safeguarding concern such as breaches of organizational policies or codes of conduct according to ACTED?s procedures. The(AME monitor)carries out work duties in a way that does not harm children, vulnerable adults or other staff or volunteers.Under the supervision of the AME Officer and AME assistant, the AME monitor is responsible for assisting the AME Unit in the development and implementation of Appraisal, Monitoring and Evaluation strategies by collecting quantitative and qualitative data on ACTED programs and general pre-project data., in addition to supporting the accountability team with beneficiary outreach regarding the complaints and response mechanism (CRM) and the MIS and AME teams with any necessary data entry. The monitor may be requested to support Appraisal, Monitoring and Evaluation activities across all projects of the Jordan mission.Duties and Responsibilities:A.General

  • Assisting the AME Unit in the development and implementation of Appraisal, Monitoring and Evaluation strategies by collecting quantitative and qualitative data on ACTED programs and general pre-project data in all ACTED intervention areas; Mafraq, Amman, Za?atari and Azraq offices.
  • Any necessary assistance to data entry of information collected through AMEU assessments and Program data.
  • The AMEU monitor will also work closely as a part of the team unit with field and program staff. Monitors? role is to support programs in their improvement and provide reliable information for coordination and management decision making and recommendations on projects.
  • Conduct field visits throughout the project cycle and coordinate with the AME and Accountability officers, in order to spread information / awareness about the CRM to beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries, as well as local authorities and stakeholders in ACTED?s areas of implementation.
B.Data Collection
  • Ensuring transparent, accurate and timely collection of data by administrating surveys, semi structured interviews, conducting focus groups of other participatory information collection tools from the field (such as on-site monitoring) as well as collecting secondary data from secondary sources of information.
C.ReportingProvide regular reports to the AME officer and AME assistant at frequent intervals on the progress of the implementation of the assessment activities and on the AMEU monitor?s observations during the mission.Working closely with the Database unit and to provide accurate data and where necessary assist the data entering.Cross check the accuracy of data entry.D.Other:Perform any other related activities as assigned by immediate supervisor.
