Manager (Collection Points)Department: Clinical LaboratoryEntity:Aga Khan UniversityLocation:PunjabIntroduction:The Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) Clinical Laboratories are the first labs in Pakistan to be accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), which is considered as a gold standard in laboratory testing in the world. We are one of the largest lab networks in the world that is CAP accredited, and with our team of highly qualified faculty, technologists and phlebotomists, we ensure to deliver fast and accurate results for routine and specialized testing, that are accepted by the doctors nationwide and globally. Our laboratory network is present in more than 295 locations spread over 130 cities in Pakistan and our value-added services include home lab sample collection, e-reports, real-time critical result reporting, multi-column reports, stat reports, SMS alert, mobile app service, much more.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible to:

  • maintain day-to-day smooth running of collection points of assigned region
  • handle all the administrative matters, including disciplinary actions, counselling, performance appraisals and promotion of staff according to policies and guidelines
  • ensure daily visit of marketing coordinators to refer physicians and improve customer satisfaction
  • assist in formulating and implementing short-term and long-term goals for laboratory operations, project future needs and formulate strategies consistent with projections
  • plan workload distribution and encourage staff to remain abreast with the latest developments by arranging monthly departmental lectures, circulating selected articles in journals and attending seminars and workshops as and when available to keep staffs? knowledge updated
  • organize Continuous Medical Education programme to increase awareness and visit key physicians and opinion leaders in the region to promote AKUH laboratory services
  • conduct market survey for timely commissioning of laboratory servicesand recruit staff as per staffing requirements.
RequirementsYou should have:
  • a Master?s degree, preferably in Business Administration or equivalent
  • at least five years of relevant experience healthcare organizations of good repute, including minimum three years of managerial experience
  • excellent command over technical and administrative aspects of clinical laboratory operations
  • excellent interpersonal and business marketing skills
  • excellent analytical skills to understand and solve complex problems, and ability to present with clarity to a wider audience
  • ability to cope-up with work pressure and meet stringent deadlines
  • willingness for national and international travel as per needs.
