• Introducing and integrating new technologies into existing data center environments
• Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
• Understand and Implement layered controls for the security of the website and perform regular audits.
• Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.
• Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
• Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.
• Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems. - Research, configure, setup up Linux servers and opensource systems and services.
• Configure and manage Opensource Database systems - Manage and implement HA clustered opensource Database solutions.
• Assist development teams with routine Linux desktop and network issues .
• Assist Bayt customers in trouble shooting network and web site access issues.
• Manage open source and commercial VOIP based Phone system.
• Assist manager in capacity planning
• Procure and setup online accounts and services with direct manager supervision.
• Produce scripts and automate batch jobs to assist development and production environments.
• Document Network and infrastructure design and methodologies
• Understand, learn and research new web technologies and frameworks.
• Understand, learn and implement infrastructure and enterprise management standards.
• Provides the technical lead and/or supervision for system administrators, system programmers, or others.
• Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
• Provide level 2 and level 3 systems and phone support to local and remote Bayt users.
• Liaise and maintain a good relationship with vendors
• Ensure 24/7 availability of production and development networks and systems.
• Document and manage Hardware and Software Inventory across Bayt offices.
• Establishes/recommends policies and procedures for system use and services.
• Produce log and reports of regular operational activities. -
• Propose cost-cutting in software and hardware usage and purchase options.
• Train and empower team members and end-users with relevant knowledge sharing.
• Organize work-off hours in order to minimize IT systems downtime in-office hours.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications or virus protection software.
• Research and Assist in the implementation of Stress testing framework
