Job Description

CodeNinja, a well-established information technology and services company, is currently seeking an experienced Database Developer to join our team. As a Database Developer at CodeNinja, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our databases. You will work closely with development teams and infrastructure teams to design, implement, and optimize database solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our company.Responsibilities

  • ú Serve as a SQL expert, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft SQL Server.
  • ú Manage, analyze, and optimize SQL Server environments using advanced settings, parameters, and features.
  • ú Implement SQL server tuning best practices, including query optimization, index management, database sharding, caching strategies, and effective use of execution plans for performance enhancement.
  • ú Evaluate and improve SQL performance, focusing on modifying table structures, indexes, stored procedures, and functions to eliminate inefficient cursors and optimize code performance.
  • ú Experience with redundant clustered systems is advantageous.
  • ú Collaborate in an Agile environment, actively participating in Scrum meetings and sprints.
  • ú Act as a subject matter expert for a specific application environment, assisting the development team in SQL coding and day-to-day operations.
  • ú Develop expertise in cloud technologies, particularly in AWS Athena and other cloud-based data lake tools and services, to assist the team in data management and optimization.
  • ú Contribute to the design and optimization of application back-ends for data strangulation and robust API development.
