With a mission to leverage the potential of the creative technology sector and democratize access to information, M-Labs analyzes a multitude of factors to design interventions that foster innovation and drive the countrys transition towards a knowledge-driven economy.Role: 2D ArtistAs a 2D Artist at Mlabs you will play a key role in marketing and producing mobile games on the Google and Apple app store. By working closely with the publishing team you will take all necessary means to ensure the promotion of the game attracts the right audience. You play games and have updated and working knowledge of the state of the industry and latest tools involved in the game development and publishing process.What will you be doing ?

• ÿCreate high-quality 2D game assets, including characters, environments, UI elements, primarily used for Google play storefronts
• Collaborate with the marketing team and game designers to understand and implement the visual style and aesthetic of the game.
• Create and maintain a handbook of all past storefront experiments with their hypothesis.
• Ensure consistency and quality of art assets throughout the development/marketing process.
• Work with the development team to integrate art assets into the game engine.
• ÿRevise and iterate on artwork based on feedback from the team.
• ÿStay updated with industry trends and best practices in game art and design.

Requirements:

• ÿ0-2 years of experience as a 2D Game Artist in the gaming industry.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator.
• Excellent understanding of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to create detailed and polished game assets, including characters, environments, and UI elements.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Passion for gaming and a strong understanding of game art and design principles.
