Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workshop Manager to oversee the operations of our workshop facility. As a Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of technicians, coordinating workflow, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, and maintaining high-quality service standards. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional customer service, maximize productivity, and drive profitability.˙Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to service schedules.
  • Coordinate with customers to understand their service requirements, provide accurate cost estimates, and schedule appointments.
  • Assign tasks to technicians based on their skills and availability, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and timely completion of projects.
  • Monitor and maintain quality control standards to deliver high-quality workmanship and meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with the service department to prioritize repair and maintenance jobs based on customer urgency and vehicle downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all workshop staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, service transactions, and inventory management activities.
  • Monitor and analyze workshop performance metrics, such as productivity, service completion time, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective strategies to enhance workshop efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality parts and timely procurement.
  • Train and develop workshop staff, providing coaching and guidance to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to workshop management and incorporate them into the organizations processes.
