Job PurposeJob Outline- Supervise the day-to-day operation of the Reservations unit ensuring effective coordination with internal and external departments in order to provide accurate friendly and professional services to the travel trade/direct customers. Provide regular updates and reports to HQ.- Implement the specified action plan for servicing of enquiries and bookings for new and existing agents/direct customers in order to ensure that service turn around times are maintained while enhancing all opportunities for maximization of revenue.- Supervise and motivate staff assigned to ensure efficiency policy maintenance and quality of product.- Responsible for the timely and accurate issuance and reporting of all documents by staff assigned.- Responsible for the regular training on products and systems so that technical skills for all staff are in line with the department standards. Formulate competency based development plans by identifying areas of growth/concern.- Plan the monthly schedule and annual leave plans of assigned staff in a manner that service delivery and operational efficiency is not affected.- Co-ordinate the distribution of Emirates Holidays brochures to the travel trade and direct customers and ensure that all relevant promotional and collateral material are adequately stocked and displayed.- Assist the Sales Manager in setting objectives at the beginning of the financial year for all staff assigned and in conducting interim/ annual reviews.- Continuously review internal processes and procedures and provide recommendations for process improvements and cost savings. Ensure that commercial alignment with Emirates is being implemented.- Develop and maintain healthy professional relationships with the travel trade/direct customers/ corporate accounts to the benefit of the department including active account management and sales visits.Critical Competencies- Problem Solving & Decision Making.- Adaptability & Innovation.- Organising for results.- Interpersonal Ability.- Team work.- Initiative and Commitment to Achieve.Qualifications & ExperienceQualifications& Experience- Degree level education in Sales & Marketing or Business Administration alternatively three to five years experience with a proven track record in the travel or leisure industry.- A proven ability to negotiate and work within a multi-cultural environment.- Experience in selling airline tour packages or hotel products together with an excellent knowledge of geography. Clear knowledge of the tourism industry.- Fluent written and spoken English.
