Job Description

Job purposeSupport teachers during lessons by:

  • Tracking and management of:
-Attendance.-Absences.-Submission of classwork.-Feedback and correction of classwork.-Behaviour & Safeguarding.-Assist with the upload and naming of files when requested.
  • Monitoring Safeguarding of students and staff and reporting when necessary to the DSL (Designated safeguarding Lead)
  • To record relevant, sensitive information correctly under the supervision of the teacher and/or Year Leader.
  • Preparing backdrops for live and pre recorded videos to show the changing topics, where possible.
  • Assist teachers in preparing resources, materials and equipment for online delivery.
  • Giving feedback to teachers regarding relevant statistics from the trackers, in order to highlight any areas of concern or any indescrepencies.
  • Logging and relaying disciplinary concerns from the teacher to the Social Worker and DSL if requested.
  • Preparing differentiated tasks for students when requested - By adapting material to the specific learner, in order to promote effective student progress.
  • To attend regular Professional Development training in order to develop as an educator.
  • Upskill and become familiar with the Google Classroom suite and all that is required for the continuation of the use of this suit, when schools return.
  • To attend meetings, if required, in order to contribute to planning and understand sufficiently how to assist teachers throughout Learning.
  • Help to prepare, present events within the schools Distance Learning Calendar including, but not limited to, Literacy Week, Maths Week, Science Week, Health Week and international Day.
  • To communicate effectively in appropriate forms with teachers, year leaders and senior management,˙to ensure that an open and transparent working environment is maintained.
  • Any other duties requested by Year leaders and teachers to support Learning.
