Job Description

An International Onshore drilling company is looking for a Chief Mechanics/Senior Mechanics which will be based in Kuwait.We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Mechanics/Senior Mechanic to join our team in the onshore oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of our equipment and machinery, contributing to the overall success of our operations.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of mechanics and technicians.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair activities for onshore oil and gas equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, strategies, and procedures to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, and execute effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders and equipment histories.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior mechanics.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and protocols.
  • To maintain all company owned and operated mechanical equipment accordingly and to repair any equipment which breaks down.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience as a Chief Mechanic/Senior Mechanic.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of onshore oil and gas equipment, including pumps, compressors, generators, and other machinery.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding and often challenging environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call when necessary.
