Senior Financial Analyst - Finance - KuwaitApply now Job no: MRF11124Location: KuwaitKuwait Head OfficeFinanceOur multi-disciplined finance teams support and improve business performance while maintaining effective and robust control. We have teams working within our retail divisions; reviewing financial performance, identifying trends, spotting opportunities and supporting business planning and decision making. In our Central Finance Team, business performance is recorded, reported and analyzed on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Finance staff also play an active role in the review and enhancement of business processes and technology usage.Role profile:Our Senior Financial Analysts ensure senior managers within brands and head office divisions remain commercially focused and are able to make strategic business decisions based on accurate and timely reports. In this role you will produce regular and ad hoc reports as well as analyse information and pro-actively investigate any additional management information requirements. Retail is a fast-paced industry and working in a financial role in this environment calls for candidates who can work quickly and accurately, think ahead and react to change.This is a varied and diverse role which will enable professional qualified accountants to make a valuable contribution to the growth of not only their own brand or division, but to Alshaya as a whole. The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:

  • Produce monthly financial and management information for the Business areas and financial controllers.
  • Monitor KPI Business areas.
  • Assist with the strategic plans, annual budgets and short / long term forecasts.
  • Prepare briefing material to support the planning and quarterly Business review processes.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to support Business cases, expenditure proposals and decisions.
  • Liaise with Business heads and other key management.
  • Liaise with Senior Management to investigate and analyse the management information requirements of Business and support groups.
  • Support the Controller of Management Accounts / Finance Manager in his/her financial responsibilities.
 Qualification(s):
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
  • A masters degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics is desirable.
  • Additional certifications in Finance or Accounting such as ACCA, CPA, CFA is desirable.
 Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Financial Analysis.
  • Experience within the retail or FMCG sectors is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Business Planning and Forecasting processes. 
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint Skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
