Estimating costs for oil and gas plants, pipelines and its facilities, and power generation construction projects. Prepare detailed cost breakdown as per the scope of project.
Preparing professional proposals to be submitted to clients in response to Requests for Proposals.
Responsibilities:
Study tender documents for various oil & gas projects and power plant projects.
Attend pre-tender meetings and site visits for new Tenders & prepare detailed Site visit report.
Cost budgeting for projects.
Cost estimation for mechanical works (Piping fabrication, erection and related activities, Structural steel fabrication and erection, Equipment and Machinery installation, Pipelines construction works, Painting & insulation works).
Develop manpower, construction equipment mobilization plans & method statements.
Develop ? effective ? construction ? schedules ? for ? proposed ? Tenders in ? line with ? clients requirements
Inquiry for tender materials/supplies/subcontracts.
Evaluate vendors and subcontractors? quotations.
Prepare complete package for submission to client include technical & commercial proposals including the applicable list of deviations in the clients required format.
Review estimates and costs with the Mechanical Section Head/Management prior to a proposal being submitted
Attend clarification meetings and technical discussion with client.
Review and negotiate contract drafts with client during contracting period up to final signature of the contract.
Maintain up-to-date commercial knowledge of the local market including, tender results and Competitors price levels. ?
Authority:
Authority as delegated by Manager/Head of dept.? as per the requirements, duties and responsibility of the job.
Accountability:
Accountable to Manager/Head of dept.? and for the quality and workmanship of every activity, precise knowledge of all aspects of job discipline.
Maintain quality standards specific to the respective department/department as per specified standards laid down in the IMS Manual and also maintain updated record as required under the ISO 9001 in coordination with the Company?s Quality?s department.
Follow and maintain the safety standards in accordance with the OHSAS 18001:2007
Follow and maintain the environment standards in accordance with the ISO 14001:2004
Internal / External Communications:
Internally with Manager/Head of dept.? and other departments in line with project requirements.
