Safety CoordinatorAmerican International University, KuwaitAmerican International University (AIU) is looking for a Full-Time Safety Coordinator.Safety Coordinator Conduct risk assessment Enforce preventative measures Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could harm employees safety Knowledge of the Kuwait Fire Fighting regulations & international standards in fire safety Basic knowledge of working with the XLS fire system & panels (or similar system) Performs periodic inspections of new and existing buildings, structures and installations requiring fire clearance or approval; identifies fire hazards; recommends corrective action; performs follow-up inspections to see that corrective measures are taken. Checks and approves site, building, and fire protection system plans for compliance with applicable fire prevention and fire safety ordinance requirements. Performs tests on water flow, sprinkler and fire alarms and elevator return systems; certifies smoke detection devices and similar fire prevention systems. Processes plan check requests and responds to requests for information and related inquiries. Maintains plan files and related documents and records.Safety Coordinator requirements and qualifications 1-2 years of experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role Degree or technical training in any safety-related field a plus Knowledge of legislations and procedures Knowledge in producing reports Knowledge in conducting data analysis and reporting statistics Proficient in MS Office Team player, good time-management skills, good interpersonal and communication skillsAbout American InternationalUniversity:AIUis a new institution of higher education in Kuwait with the first student cohort admitted in fall 2019.
