Repair Lead (Container)

Job Description

Overview**This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP**Under supervision of the Repair Supervisor (Container), troubleshoots, and repairs, electronic and communication equipment, components, and systems according to instructions. The maintenance performed ranges from operator level thru limited general support including the installation, servicing, troubleshooting and repair of containers.ResponsibilitiesThis position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

• Performs Direct Support level maintenance on containers.
• Adjusts components to specifications and determines shortcomings and malfunctions in assemblies.
• Determines serviceability and disposition of defective containers
• Repairs unserviceable items by removing and replacing defective components.
• Complete all supply and maintenance forms as required.
• Provides technical guidance to co-workers in the performance of their duties.
• Performs initial, in process and final type inspections of designated containers
• Performs other duties and assignments as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
• Education/Certifications:
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • A valid US driver?s license is required, and able to obtain Local Driver?s License.
  • Must have or able to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must have valid US Passport.
  • Must be US citizen.
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination:
  • The State of Kuwait (and certain airlines) now require proof of COVID-19 Vaccination. The definition of fully vaccinated is that you?ve: 1.) received a vaccine that is recognized by the governing entity and is either a.) Two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine b.) Two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine c.) Two doses of Moderna Vaccine (or) d. One dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, and 2.) Two weeks elapsed after the final dose was administered, which is either one or two doses depending on brand of the vaccination. You must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination to qualify for this position.
• Experience:
  • Three years experience in servicing, troubleshooting and repair of containers.
• Skills:
  • Able to perform Direct Support level maintenance on containers.
  • Able to adjust components to specifications and determines shortcomings and malfunctions in assemblies.
  • Able to determine serviceability and disposition of defective containers
  • Able to repair unserviceable items by removing and replacing defective components.
  • Able to complete all supply and maintenance forms as required.
  • Able to provide technical guidance to co-workers in the performance of their duties.
  • Able to perform initial, in process and final type inspections of designated containers
• Working Conditions:
  • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
  • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
  • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
  • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
