Registrar of GastroenterologyARegistrar of Gastroenterology (GIT) isresponsible for providing and participating in the delivery of all services related to the management of patients suffering from gastrointestinal diseases, endoscopy services etc. Responsibilities of a GIT Registrar includes: * Acts under the supervision of the Head of the Department in the provision of GIT services and to support the Consultant and Specialists in their duties. * Examines in-patients, takes a history of examinations and records all data in the patients file. * Develops a differential diagnosis and treatment plan for every in-patient. * Observes and records patient history, physical examination, and plan of management in the clinic under the direct supervision of a consultant. * Under the direct supervision of a consultant, performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as NG tube insertion, diagnostic and therapeutic paracentesis, diagnostic gastroscopy, and colonoscopy while documenting these procedures in the medical record. * Follow up on all the patients complaints and according to the policy and procedure in each case. * Records all clinical data and any changes to treatment instructions in the patients file. * Does ward rounds at least once in routine cases and according to special instructions in certain cases (according to policy and procedures). * Completes the clinical notes of the patient files and handover of cases between the two successive shifts with all clinical details * Participates in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care needs. * Ensures implementation of the Ministry of Health regulations, the Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations. * Promotes and participates in the departmental and hospital educational and training programs and clinical audits .Job Requirements:* Bachelors? Degree in Medicine followed by Masters? Degree in relevant specialty.* At least two to three years of clinical experience in a hospital setting, post Masters* Licensing: Valid License from Ministry of Health-Kuwait to practice as a Registrar of Gastroenterology (preferred)* AHA certified Basic Life support provider.Skills* Good verbal and written communication skills (in Arabic & English)* Professional computer literacy levels* Knowledge of Required Organizational practices/patient safety standards.* Command over professional code of ethics, medical bylaws.* Culturally competent (Kuwaiti patients? culture and beliefs).EducationGastroenterology Job Location Al Kuwait, Kuwait Job Role Medical, Healthcare, and Nursing Years of Experience Min: 3
