PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for the assessment, investigation, treatment andreview of patients admitted to the ED for acute management, including but not limited to:? Airway management, including ventilation for adults and paediatric patients.? Vascular access, central and peripheral.? Joint relocation.? Simple and complex wound care.? Eye and Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) care including foreign body removal, epistaxis control.? Cardiac life support, trauma care and paediatric resuscitation related technical skills.? Actively participate in training programs for medical officers undertaking Part 1 and Part 2 Emergency Medicine exams.? Supervise Junior Medical Staff and Medical Students in the treatment and management of Patients in the ED.? When on Duty, to be a member of Medical Emergency Team (MET) and respond to all such calls.
