Job Description

A Quantity Surveyor plays a crucial role in the construction and civil engineering industry, focusing on the management of costs and budgets for construction projects. This position is vital for ensuring that projects are completed within financial constraints while maintaining quality standards. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for various tasks, including cost estimation, contract administration, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a keen understanding of construction processes.Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on architectural and engineering plans.
  2. Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective.
  3. Manage and monitor project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
  4. Prepare and analyze tender documents, contracts, and procurement strategies.
  5. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and compliance with project specifications.
  6. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure project objectives are met.
  7. Provide financial advice and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  8. Prepare financial reports and forecasts to inform stakeholders of project status.
  9. Negotiate contracts and agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.
  10. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to construction projects.
