Job Description

Overview***This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP.***

  • Under the direct supervision of CRSP Manager Coordinator must be capable of overseeing, but not limited to, supervising the function required for shipment or storage of personal property for authorized personnel. Personal Property Shipping Lead will oversee individual counseling to all authorized shippers of Personal Property (PP). Shippers are advised what items are authorized for shipment. The HHG Shipping and Receiving Coordinator supervise the clerks in preparation of the required documents to facilitate shipment. Assist clerks and carriers in the inspection of shipments for restricted or prohibited items. Supervise the documents of verifying the weight of the shipment and provide all necessary documentation for shipping to the customer.
ResponsibilitiesThis position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
  • Responsibilities may include but not be limited to the following depending upon team assignment within Installation Logistics ? ITO.
    • Conduct pack out Inspections, inbound inspections and warehouse inspections. Generate daily and weekly reports. Maybe required to provide team leadership to Eastern employees assigned to the PPSO office.
    • HHG Shipments Coordinator shall facilitate required access to Government and Commercial Web based automated systems, establish and use systems for packaging support coordination.
    • Confirm that all personnel follow all the safety procedures when operating and maintaining equipment.
    • Will be a hand receipt holder responsible for property and equipment, also responsible for the use and care of property and its accountability.
    • Confirm that all property packing and crating for CONUS bound shipments are heat treated and certified pest free.
    • Trained in packaging, packaging specifications, and served in packaging position with recent experience.
    • Check all wood products coming from CONUS for the DOD stamp for marking of wood products (International Certification Mark). IAW the DOD Interim Wood Packaging Policy, and register on-line for the Wood Packaging Material (WPM) Program
    • Verify that all wood product being used for packing and crating for CONUS bound shipments are heat treated and certified pest free.
    • Confirm Status of inbound property shipment and book delivery IAW orders.
    • Contact customer to establish date and time for delivery.
    • Coordinate delivery and accompany the shipping agent on delivery.
    • Check HHG for prohibited items as identified in local Command directives.
    • Performs other duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
    • High school diploma or equivalent work experience in related field.
    • Must have a Kuwait Driver?s License.
    • Must be able to obtain a CAC card
    • Excellent Customer Services skills
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination:
    • To be qualified for this position you must comply with USCENTCOM MOD 16 that requires proof that you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, as defined by the CDC or host country requirements. As of now, to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 you must have received either two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine, two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine, two doses of Moderna Vaccine, or one dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, and two weeks must have elapsed after the final dose was administered.   • Experience:
    • At least three (3) years of related work experience. Knowledgeable of packing/crating and knowledge in freight forwarding operations. Experience in Defense Property System is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook and other related applications.
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required.
    • Ability to establish and maintain and effective working relationship with external and internal customers.
    • Ability to keep records and prepare reports. Must be a self starter, perform under no supervision.
    • Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing to customers and workers.
    • Respond to customer inquiries in a tactful and effective manner.
    • Prioritize responsibilities to handle a demanding workload.
    • High-level organizational and planning skills to efficiently and accurately manage workflow
  • MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
    • Computer, functionality of Microsoft Office software products, database entry, printers, calculators, fax machine, copy machine and other general office equipment.
  • WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
    • Work is generally conducted in an indoors environment; however, duties may involve the conduct of work outdoors to verify shipments. Work will require working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published company work rules.
  • PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
    • Work may require heavy lifting up, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents.
