Handle and answer all calls in a timely and professional manner and provide complete and accurate assistance, and complete the health screening questions with patients.
Monitor and manage patient flow in waiting areas to prevent overcrowding and long waiting time, making necessary adjustments as needed.
ÿAssist patients courteously and handle patient concerns with professionalism and discretion, aiming to resolve issues swiftly and to the satisfaction of patient experience standards.
ÿObtain and verify patient identity, demographic and registration information; effectively communicate the purpose for and the requirements of all required patient documents. Must be able to complete and understand the differences between registrations in the ambulatory, inpatient, or Emergency Department setting.
Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, services provided, and outcomes, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and submitted promptly.
Schedule patient appointments, in accordance with established protocols, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing wait times.
ÿVerify patients insurance coverage, eligibility, benefits and patient cost share (co-pay / deposit), and assist patients in understanding their insurance-related queries or concerns. Contact insurance representatives for assistance regarding coverage, preapprovals, billing and other issues if necessary.
ÿProvide patients with billing and payment information, taking payments at point of service, handling cash, ensuring financial clearance and no discrepancies in financial settlements.
ÿCollaborate closely with other hospital departments, including physicians, nurses, support services, insurance office, to ensure a cohesive and patient-centered experience.
ÿÿStay well-informed with policies and procedures, implementing it accordingly and delivering to the patient properly.
ÿUndertake any other related duties as directed by the Direct Supervisor, exhibiting adaptability and a comprehensive commitment to the role.
