Role Profile:To plan stock/intake requirements to meet the budgeted sales. Manage the range building and/or selection/buying process of ranges. Maintain gross profit on purchases and/or net profit on sales in line with overall business expectations.The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:Assist with business planning and ongoing planning of merchandise and forecasting of sales, subsequently accountable for sales / margin measurement.Align with Category Manager product procurement through host brand range reviews or direct negotiation, including in season buysAssess store execution of merchandising plans, recommend optimal range based on Store GradingRecommend retail pricing levels, sales lines and implement mark down percentage strategyDevelop relationships with internal/ external contacts, and assess appropriate and critical informationPro-actively utilize available software/ systems and identify improvements / requirements for further action.Manage / maintain stock file accuracy.Knowledge:Good English written/verbalUniversity degree in BusinessExperience:1 year assistant merchandiser or similar experience is favorableSkills:IT Literate especially Excel
