Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE:Merchandiserensures stock levels and estimates meet Range Plan and business financial budget requirements.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Analyzing past sales figures/trends to anticipate future products in devising merchandise range planning (Assortment opportunities) .
  • Communicate Strategy and Tactics and agree Plans with Buying, and operation team.
  • Conduct weekly floor walks to ensure the tactics are applied in store as per the plans. (merchandising standards check)
  • Drive allocation process with cross functional depts. from pre-assortment plan (range) to final allocation to store.
  • Manage new store inventory opening with cross functional partnerships.
  • Monitor all inventory Allocations and stock transfers.
  • Monitor merchandising activity calendar for whole fiscal year and communicate to marketing team on monthly basis.
  • Monitor monthly store merchandising plans, based on merchandising calendar and communicate to Store managers, and store merchandisers and VM Team.
  • Monitor stock allocation to each outlet throughout the season to ensure adequate stock is allocated and minimize unnecessary stock holdings in each outlet.
  • Monitor zero/low stock lists and take appropriate action
  • Prepare and send the Allocation, and track the allocations from warehouse, and store to store.
  • To ensure that Visual Merchandising adheres to Merchandising Standards set by Management.
  • To Liaise with the store manager(s) and VM regarding range changes, display, promotions, space allocation & seasonal changes.
  • To understand the strategy for each product category and applying this at store level in most Customer friendly, efficient and profitable way with help of Visual Merchandise, CM?s and SM?s
  • Support the preparation of Trade meeting reports
  • Ensure Replenishment orders are placed timely via ERP workflow (purchase requisition workflow)
  • Contribution to the creation of the annual catalogue
