Job Description

OverviewOverviewUnder the supervision of the of Materials Manager, this position will administer end to end actions of all Regional Commodity Agreements in the CENTCOM region. The Materials specialists will be required to identify cost-reduction materials by coordinating with trusted suppliers and vendors and determine the suitability of these items in the supply chain. They will be responsible to conduct data and statistical analysis to develop strategic techniques that would minimize the companys expenditures and cost, This position will create, execute and administer various types of Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) through close-out, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures, legal guidelines, FAR/DFARS clauses, and customer requirements.Responsibilities

  • Work directly with programs and procurement manager to evaluate materials requests from programs.
  • Accurately track and monitor all release orders/ calls placed under regional agreements and provide timely status updates to the procurement manager.
  • Perform regular inventory usage reviews, data analysis, supplier spend reporting
  • Utilize spend reporting to monitor supplier pricing changes, and work with the Commodity Manager & Procurement Manager to address changes with the supplier
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting
  • Provide analysis and ideas to drive efficiency and process improvement including purchase price savings.
  • Participate in supply chain and cross functional projects and undertake ad-hoc work as required to support the business
  • Purchasing of primarily services, and materials / supplies in support of the HQ site and programs as required. Responsible for the total procurement process ? sourcing thru closure of purchase order, to include thorough documentation.
QualificationsEducation / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. BS/BA Degree preferred.Experience: Must have 6+ years of professional experience relating to Procurement, subcontracting, purchasing & contract management. Must have working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), contract law, purchasing policies and procedures, basic software worksheet technologies, and the ability to meet with, work with and brief senior management personnel. Customer service oriented, detail focused, pro-active behavior, multi-task capability. Must be able to communicate clearly both in writing and orally. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to train, lead projects, direct employees.Skills & Technology Used: Good problem solving, negotiation and organizational skills/techniques, strong communicator, possesses analytical and interpersonal skills.
