Manager- Aviation Business DevelopmentAU is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated candidate to join its growing team in the School of Aviation Department at the level of Manager. The successful candidate shall provide support to the Senior Director- School of Aviation in the daily operations of the unit and be responsible for planning, coordinating and directing the activities of the Aviation Corporate Training function or unit within the School of Aviation. PRIMARY TASKS: - Plan, direct, and control the activities of the function or unit to ensure maximum productivity is achieved within the University?s standard level of performance.- Supervise, train, motivate and appraise performance of the staff and satisfy individual training and development needs.- Implement and supervise operational standards, coordinate and maintain standard operating procedures.- Act as catalyst for change and improvement.- Develop, design, implement, and manage the operation of aviation corporate programs at AU.- Build relationships and marketing strategies within Kuwait and at the wider region and identifying training needs for potential clients.- Prepare financial and technical proposals for clients.- Prepare and maintain budget for training programs and workshops.- Recruitment and vetting of trainers for corporate courses- Management and supervision of all training activities related to the delivery of the corporate training courses.- Prepare and present all the technical resources, facilities and supply training requirements in collaboration with other departments within AU and aviation management team.- Liaise with the Quality Manager when dealing with internal and external audits and with the regulatory authorities and approval bodies.SkillsEssential: - BS degree in relevant field; Aviation, Aeronautics, Education, or Training.- Minimum 7 years experience in relevant field.- Experience as a Training Specialist or similar role.- Experience with designing training programs and workshops.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.- Highly developed organizational and time management skills.- Familiar with and able to work effectively in the local environment.- Proficiency in MS Office and database software.
