Job Description

Overview**This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP**

  • Under the direct supervision of the Movement Control Team (MCT), Senior Logistics Supervisor, the must ensure effective and timely implementation of all Logistics daily operational goals. Develop and initiate monthly reports having required project timelines, corporate metrics and productivity measurements. Lead training, career development and enrichment of all department associates. Establish and manage relations with customers. Plan and arrange logistics required shipments. Support simplification and standardization of processes to accelerate logistics and enhance efficiencies. Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement to top management. Head team to develop, articulate and maintain logistic process documentation.
ResponsibilitiesThis position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
  • Supervises all employees under their direct report. Performs the full range of first line supervisory duties to include mission planning, maintenance scheduling and counseling duties of either Camp Arifjan or Buehring.
  • Determines assets needed for mission and requests additional assets when needed.
  • Provides technical direction and oversight of subcontract personnel to ensure service requirements are met according to contract requirements.
  • Identifies training deficiencies and conducts on-the-job training as required.
  • Troubleshoots problems/incidents, notifies Senior Logistice Supervisor when unable to solve or correct in accordance with established policies and management guidance.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains cost controls and identifies potential cost savings initiatives.
  • Is highly mobile, stays in constant contact with all aspects of missions.
  • Capable of implementing ISO and adhering to Vectrus standards. Suggests improvements to processes and capable of writing or rewriting/implementing those processes. Problem solving skills when multiple tasks need to be accomplished.
  • Prepares, compiles, and submits reports on work schedule, activities, operations, and production. Confers with customer, supervisors, contractors, and other personnel to exchange information and resolve problems.
  • Proficient in proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials and waste.
  • Responsible for overseeing container management and the monthly container management inventory.
  • Responsible for providing recovery services for supported assets.
  • Ensure strict compliance to safety practices in accordance Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Provide feedback and information to Management as needed in accordance with applicable policies and the PWS.
  • Maintains historical data on all movements
  • Leads cargo movement and a responsibility for coordination, preparation, equipment safety and accountability.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
    • High school graduate or equivalent
    • Must be able to obtain Kuwait Driving License (KDL)
    • Secret Clearance Required
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination:
    • To be qualified for this position you must comply with USCENTCOM MOD 16 that requires proof that you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, as defined by the CDC or host country requirements. As of now, to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 you must have received either two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine, two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine, two doses of Moderna Vaccine, or one dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, and two weeks must have elapsed after the final dose was administered.   • Experience:
    • At least Three (3) years? experience in Logistic field operation may include but not limited to; truck dispatching, import/export, cargo shipping/receiving, transportation, customer service, negotiations or other related experience.
    • Supervisory experience required with regard to shipping and receiving services, military or civilian.
  • Skills:
    • Team oriented; possess excellent organizational, time management skills.
    • Must be computer and software literate, experienced in Microsoft applications.
    • Excellent interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills required.
    • Knowledgeable in HAZMAT certification and know how to process TMRs, STMRs, and TCMDs.
    • Familiar with U.S. military branches of service.
    • Ability to work under fast paced and adverse conditions.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
  • MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
    • Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, EXCEL and Outlook.
  • WORKING ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
    • Work in extremely hot, cold, or rainy weather. Repetitive and physically demanding, work at great heights, exposed to harmful materials, fumes, and odors. Bending, stretching, and lifting in tight enclosed spaces. Refer to the general physical requirement, physical activities, visual acuity, and working conditions checklist for more information.
