RequirementsúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿDegree in any Engineering discipline or its equivalent with a minimum 8-10 years? experience with similar experience as Lead QA QC Engineer in the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industry.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿEligible for Kuwait Engineering Society membership.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿProfessional membership, if any would be considered additional qualification.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿThorough understanding of the principles and practice of Quality Management and the implementation and improvement of management systems.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿPractical experience of plant and vendor inspection of all types of mechanical equipment typically required at oil & gas installations, both on-shore and off shore.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿAbility to develop, maintain, update in ? house technical standards & specifications.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿCommunication skills ? verbal, written ? to report standard and presentation skills.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿDemonstrable capabilities in planning and organizing projects and activities to meet Project requirements e.g., quality planning and resourcing for projects to ensure they are suitably resourced with sufficient and capable quality management expertise.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿExperience in managing a team of qualityÿpractitioners.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿExperience in welding and common NDT methodsúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿAble to work independently and contribute to team excellence as well.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿKnowledgeable in welding, NDT, AWS/ASME/ANSI Codes, or other industry codes and KNPC & KOC Standards.ÿResponsibilitiesúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿPreparation and implementation of QA/QC policies and proceduresúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿCarry out audits for ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 and recommend the necessary corrective actions and measures.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿMonitor policies and procedures and report any areas where improvement is required.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿAssist the Project/Construction Managers in reviewing the contractor?s specific quality plans and producing recommendations.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿEnsure timely and effective resolution for QA or QC issues, in coordination with Construction Manager/Consultant/Department HeadúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿPerform all daily inspections and test of the scope and character necessary to achieve the quality of construction required in the drawings and specifications for all works under the contract performed ON or OFF site.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿCarry out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site and ensure activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿCoordinate with the contractor?s representative and Site Engineer in charge of inspection and meeting about quality problems including the closure of Non-Compliance Report.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿTaking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents. Responsible for the closure of Non-conformance, NCR and Site Instruction, SI.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿResponsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity, thorough knowledge of all phases of engineering construction relating to Civil, Architectural and Structural discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary operations.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿDevelop method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿCarry out Internal Audit at the site as scheduled in the Project Quality Plan, PQP.
