Our teams provide comprehensive end-to-end project solutions - including capital investment, consulting, design, engineering, construction, sustaining capital and operations and maintenance - to clients in oil and gas, mining and metallurgy, infrastructure and power.SNC-Lavalin is looking for a Lead Commissioning Engineer, Utilities to join an ongoing Refinery project in Al Zour, Kuwait.ResponsibilitiesProvide specialist knowledge and advice relating to process commissioning & startup on S W S , A R Us and A G Fs.Oversight of processes and working to maintain optimization of the processContinual evaluation of equipment and processes to ensure both efficiency and qualityPartake in client and subcontractor meetingsVerification of check sheets & verification of completed work.Lead and participate in HSSE Safety Leadership walk downs / workshopsLead and participate in Flawless Delivery Leadership walk downs / workshopsAlways demonstrate personal HSSE leadership and excellent HSE behavior and ensure that safety expectations are communicated and maintainedAttend and execute the Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) when requiredEnsure all packages have clear defined preservation requirements identified and applied.Responding to engineering site queries where clarification of design is required and liaise with engineering contractor where a response to TQs as required.Ensuring that commissioning procedures and paperwork is completed to enable a smooth hand over of systems to Operations. REQUIREMENTS: REQUIREMENTSEngineering Degree in Chemical EngineeringA minimum of 15 years of experience in operating and Commissioning of Refinery / Petrochemicals.At least 10 years experience in a similar position for pre- commissioning and commissioning.Past 8 years handling commissioning of major projects of value not less than $500 million.Specific Utilities experience relevant to the project (i.e. Steam Generation, Plant Air & Nitrogen Waste, Water Treatment, Flares etc.Strong people management and interpersonal skills.Good written, verbal communication and presentation skills in English.Proven experience for renowned clients in region.
