KAC220602040646 - Director Supply ChainOrganization:Kuwait AirwaysJob:Director Supply ChainDivision:Housing & SupplyEmployment Type:Full Time - PermanentLast date of application:2022-06-15Country:Kuwait,?Kuwait Airways is activity recruiting for the position of Director Supply Chain in the Housing & Supply department, in this role your responsibilities will include but not limited to:?Main responsibilities and scope:-To establish best practices with regards to sourcing goods and services at competitive prices without compromising on quality and to ensure that the Facilities strategy and projects are in line with the companys long-term objectives. -Plan, direct and supervise the purchase, storage and disbursement of materials, furnishing and maintenance staff offices and residence in Kuwait and at external stations outside Kuwait and managing projects to achieve the Business goals.Tasks and duties:* Lead the Procurement centralization project for KAC and set up Standard terms and conditions for contracts as well as supplier code of ethics* Create a category mapping structure to enhance focus and ownership of the spend* Network and source reliable vendors and suppliers to provide quality goods at reasonable prices in accordance with KAC regulations and policies* Lead service/product negotiations towards best outcomes in terms of price, delivery timelines, quality and other key criteria, as identified by all business units* Lead the contract management process to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with KAC regulations and the laws of the State of Kuwait* Acts as member of the bidding Committee as required by KAC regulations* Plan, execute and finalize facilities projects according to strict deadlines and budgets, reporting on key milestones and deliverables as required.Requirement:* 15 years of experience of which 6 years in a supervisory role in managing supply chain, projects, housing and facilities, preferably in aviation.* Bachelors degree in engineering or business management or supply chain or finance or equivalent.Skills:* Business Acumen.* Strategic thinking.* Negotiation mindset.* Decision making.* Effective communication.
