Job Description

A reputable company in Kuwait is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Junior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and conducting financial analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in the field of accounting.Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  2. Reconcile accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  3. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  4. Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  5. Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
  6. Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and support the external audit process.
  7. Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal controls.
  8. Assist with the preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
  9. Support the month-end and year-end close process.
  10. Perform other accounting tasks and ad-hoc analysis as assigned.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
  2. 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Attention to detail and accuracy.
  8. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  9. Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  10. Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
